About Annie Warmke
In the role of sustainability pioneer and activist, Annie's work spans building Ohio's first Earthship, developing Blue Rock Station Sustainability Center and Farm, organizing rural family violence programs, and leading statewide and global networks for women in agriculture.

After recovering from a life changing injury, she founded Warmke Farm in Marietta to demonstrate through regenerative agriculture how urban food forest gardens can strengthen communities and build climate resilience. Her work continues to inspire women seeking practical, hopeful pathways into agriculture and sustainability.
As Annie steps away from the Blue Rock Station farm and sustainable living center, her level of community involvement only grows. Shifting her focus to urban farming, youth mentorship, and service, Annie is increasingly engaged in food forest gardening and work for groups such as Reimagine Appalachia, the Women's Peacepower Foundation, Inc., and the League of Extraordinary Girl Scientists.
Urban food forest project in Marietta, Ohio that hosts workshops on plant propagation and medicinal herbs as well as plant and seed swaps. Annie is hopeful that one day Warmke Farm could develop into a seed bank that focuses on the preservation and sharing of locally adapted crop varieties.
Non-governmental organization (NGO) working to bring peace to the everyday lives of women and their families. The Women's Peacepower Foundation focuses on building confidence and leadership skills in girls and women by promoting access to farmland and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
Program launched by Blue Rock Station LLC in collaboration with the Women's Peacepower Foundation, Inc. to foster self-esteem, real-world skill development, and resilience among school-aged girls.
